Mindfulness is a natural state of clear non-judgemental awareness that can be strengthened through specific cognitive practices and applied in a range of human activities including movement, art and the duties of daily life.  Mindfulness-based practices cultivate your natural capacity for clarity and deeper insight into your emotional needs as you change and grow and have been shown to:

  • reduce stress
  • improve sleep quality
  • reduce anxiety
  • manage and reduce physical pain symptoms
  • diminish stress-related somatic symptoms*​

*Please note that while considered to be generally beneficial, specific mindfulness practices, including meditation, may not be the best approach in addressing certain emotional challenges and disorders or a fit for all people. Meditation and related practices, like mental counseling and other personal growth modalities, my result in challenges unique to each person that a qualified mindfulness instructor and counselor can guide you through safely.
